Veteran Scholarships

Santa Fe Community College has a well-deserved reputation for supporting veterans and their families in northern New Mexico.

The SFCC Veterans Resource Center is a one-stop shop that helps them navigate the complex landscape of higher education opportunities and benefits.

The City of Santa Fe Veterans Advisory Board has collaborated with the SFCC Foundation to provide matching funds for a scholarship that directly supports veterans and their dependents. Awards can be as much as $2,000 for full-time students and $1,000 for part-time students, per semester. When combined with veteran-to-veteran mentoring and other support provided by the Veterans Resource Center, these awards can be truly life-changing.

“This scholarship has helped me pay for the expensive books that are required for nursing school. Without these educational tools, I would not be able to learn the complexities of providing top level healthcare. I’m very grateful for the help that this scholarship has provided. My education would not be possible without this assistance.”

~ Kyle Grinold, Marine Corps Reserve Veteran

Unfortunately, there are many more qualified veterans than there are funded scholarships that we can offer. Additional gifts will make all the difference. When you make a gift to the Veterans Scholarship at SFCC you are thanking a veteran for their service to our country—and supporting their successful transition to their new career in our community.

To support Veterans and their dependents, add “Veterans scholarships” in the comment box at the bottom of the Giving Page here.

Thank you for being part of our donor family at Santa Fe Community College Foundation!
