About the Foundation
Since it opened forty years ago, Santa Fe Community College (SFCC) has benefited from strong partnerships with individual donors, businesses, and foundations in New Mexico and nationally. They have rallied around the SFCC mission: “Empower Students, Strengthen Community.”
In 1984, SFCC Foundation was established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to support the college and its students. We work closely with campus leadership, staff, and student organizations to identify the most impactful ways for donors to provide students with opportunities to achieve their academic and career goals. When our students succeed, their families thrive, and our communities become stronger.
We help donors provide scholarship support because:
Over 70% of SFCC students are first-generation college students, managing work, family, and challenging classes. Our scholarships cover tuition, lab fees, textbooks, childcare, and transportation costs, making a crucial difference in helping students graduate on time.
We help donors provide support for innovative programs by:
Supporting academic programs at SFCC that provide classroom and experiential learning opportunities and open doors to rewarding careers. Supported by generous donors, programs in Controlled Environment Agriculture, Culinary Arts, and automotive technologies (to name just three) are building the workforce needed to sustain a healthy Northern New Mexico economy.
