In 2024, breast cancer will be diagnosed in over 360,000 people, according to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Breast Cancer Awareness month uplifts those diagnosed and survivors of breast cancer awareness, through education and support.

Santa Fe Community College Foundation (SFCCF) celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month for all those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, care for someone with breast cancer, and have lost someone due to breast cancer.

Santa Fe Community College (SFCC) students are active participants in the support, care, and advancements of practice with breast cancer through several different tracks. Health sciences is an essential program to SFCC’s success and often brings students to pathways such as nursing and paramedicine, both of which practice the advancements of breast cancer care. SFCCF supports students who are pursuing health sciences degrees that teach cutting edge practices that actively support those diagnosed with breast cancer and its survivors.

The National Breast Cancer Foundation has created a comprehensive educational resource for those affected by breast cancer and those who want to learn more. Get resources on support, early detection, healthy lifestyle, the basics, and signs and symptoms at National Breast Cancer Foundation.
